Romania: investition in a research platform for sustainable and efficient energy

5 faculties of the Technical University of Iasi Gheorghe Asachi will develop a ten million euros project on developing a research platform.This will be used to conduct researches into green energy production and sustainable energy. The amount will fund the construction of a large wind tunnel where items related to obtaining green energy can be tested.

The project was approved in December 2012 and is expected to be completed in two and a half years. After finishing the  constructions,  companies that want to build any wind or solar park will benefit, upon request, of the results of studies in this research platforms.

The project participated in the competition "Sectoral Operational Programme - Increase of Economic Competitiveness" where was the investment for this new project was approved.
