PPC Energie has officially launched its national campaign, "Photovoltaic Panels for Schools, Energy for You." This initiative turns invoice digitalization into renewable energy for schools across Romania. Run in partnership with the Association for Values in Education (AVE), the project guarantees the installation of solar panels and storage batteries in at least 15 public schools, a number that could scale up to 20 depending on customer participation.
The campaign runs from September 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Alongside its social impact, the initiative offers substantial rewards for consumers: 600 lucky customers will win free active energy for an entire year.
Green Power for Schools Across 7 Counties
Each pre-university state school was selected by AVE based on real infrastructure needs. The chosen institutions will receive a comprehensive energy package, including a 10 kWp photovoltaic system and a 15 kW storage battery. The package covers installation costs and professional consulting to help schools secure official prosumer status.
These green energy systems will be deployed across communities in the counties of Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Gorj, Ilfov, and Timiș.
"Education needs stability, and the support we offer stems exactly from this need. A simple digital solution helps beneficiary schools cover part of their consumption with the energy they produce themselves," stated Ionuț Dună, General Manager of PPC Energie.
"A simple choice made by customers transforms into an investment that helps schools use their resources more efficiently," added Simona Pavelescu, Executive Director of AVE.
100% Energy Bill Discounts for Customers
The mechanism is straightforward: residential customers who activate their e-mail invoice during the campaign and keep it active for at least 6 consecutive months enter the monthly raffle automatically.
- The Prize: A 100% discount on the active energy component.
- Duration: 12 consecutive months.
- Limit: Up to 150 kWh per month.
- Higher Chances: 100 winners will be drawn every month. Customers with multiple consumption points can win multiple prizes, as rewards are allocated per distinct payment code.
Eligibility and How to Activate
The campaign is open to existing residential customers (who did not have the electronic invoice active before September 1, 2026) and new customers who opt for digital billing upon signing their electricity or natural gas contract.
Activation takes only a few seconds and can be done through multiple channels:
- Via the myPPC mobile app (My Account -> Electronic Invoice).
- Online, on the official website www.ppcenergy.ro.
- In-person at any PPC store, or via the call center.
