Romgaz Signs Gas Supply Contract with Electrocentrale București Worth Nearly 63 million euro

 


The National Natural Gas Society Romgaz has finalized a gas sales agreement with Electrocentrale București (ELCEN), valued at nearly 63 million euro, the company announced in a report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Thursday.

The contract covers the supply of natural gas from November 1, 2025, to April 1, 2026.

Electrocentrale București is required to make payments for the gas delivered by Romgaz within 30 days of invoicing. In case of late payment, penalties will be applied at a rate of 0.10% per day.

Romgaz is Romania’s largest producer and main supplier of natural gas. The company is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), with the Romanian state as its majority shareholder, holding a 70% stake.
