The IPA Romania-Serbia program has been approved by the European Commission

 


The European Commission has approved the Romania-Serbia IPA Program (Interreg VI-A), which is thus the first such Program in the European Union approved to date.

At the same time, the IPA Romania-Serbia Program (Interreg VI-A) is also the first European funded Program under Cohesion Policy 2021-2027 submitted by Romania to the European Commission, for which the role of Managing Authority is fulfilled by the Ministry of Development, Public Works. and the Administration.

Thus, considering the approval, by the European Commission of the Program (Interreg VI-A) IPA Romania-Serbia 2021-2027, the Monitoring Committee will start, in the next period, the consultations on the documents necessary to launch the first call for project proposals.

In the period 2021-2027, the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration is the Managing Authority for the Program (Interreg VI-A) IPA Romania-Serbia 2021-2027, which will have a total budget of 87,725,681 euros and will finance projects on protection environment and adaptation to climate change, health and education, tourism and culture, respectively border management.

Funding for these priorities will be 85% of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III), 13% will be national co-financing, provided by the Romanian state, and its own contribution will be 2% for Romanian beneficiaries. Serbian beneficiaries will provide full co-financing of 15% of their own contribution.

The eligible area of ​​the Program includes three counties in Romania (Timiş, Caraş-Severin and Mehedinţi), as well as six districts in Serbia (Severno Banatski, Srednje Banatski, Juzno Banatski, Branicevski, Borski and Podunavski).
