Chevron concluded drilling for shale gas exploration in Pungesti, Romania

Chevron company stresses that his priority was to ensure these actions in a safe and responsible towards the environment, according to environmental agreements received. From November 2013 until January 2014, Chevron conducted a campaign to inform residents of the area in which his teams have visited more than 2,250 families.

Guest at Radio Romania News, ştiinţific advisor for Romanian National Committee of World Energy Council, Alexander Pătruţi explained that exploratory procedure consists of several steps: drilling executed by Chevron to Pungesti is a step in the exploration phase. After execution of drilling, the company will analyze samples and interpret the data obtained from geophysical carotajelor performed well. This drilling will be dropped after that, depending on the results, the exploration goes on.
