After an investment of 16,5 million euros, the largest photovoltaic park in Romania, situated in Mehedinti, will start to produce energy in January 2013. The park owned by Protuguese group Efacec is situated in Cujmir area of Mehedinti, on 36 hectares and will have 52,000 solar panels with an installated capacity of 12 MW. Annualy it will produce the amount of energy to cover the need of about 5,000 home users.
