Slovakia has a small market of thermal solar panels

Slovakia is a small country from the point of view of the big solar companies. It is strongly connected to the Czech Republic where it imports products and technologies. Although in 2007-2010 Slovakia was a growing market, conditions changed. For years, the market has either stagnated or re-enrolled very small increases. For instance, in 2014, 5500 sqm of thermal solar panels were sold and in 515 another 5300 sqm. In 2016 9600 square meters were sold out of which 1,600 square meters of vacuum tubes. In total at the beginning of 2017 in Slovakia were in operation 160100 square meters of solar panels. That means over 40000 panels in operation. The data source is ESTIF.
