Romania will provide a financing program for solar installations in homes

The Environment Fund Authority intends to run a program in 2018 to grant non-reimbursable financing to individuals who install photovoltaic panels for their electricity production at home, according to official sources.

Citizens installing these photovoltaic panels can use their energy for their own consumption, and beyond what can be sold in the network, distributors being forced to take over energy. The basic condition is that, in order to benefit from funding, the power discharged into the network must be at most equal to the power it has contracted for the consumption in the network, not higher.

The state will finance about 20,000 Romanians who want to install small power plants with a power of up to 6 kW per house.
