Austrian thermal solar market in free fall

The Austrian market, one of the most important in Europe, has seen a decline in recent years. Thus, if in 2014 sales of 153440 sqm were recorded, they dropped to 136580 sqm in 2015 to reach 111040 sqm in 2016 with 18.7% in 2016.

At the end of 2016 was in operation 4129021 sqm, equivalent to 2890315 kW.

From market information, it seems that this fall will continue. However, the major companies involved in the field have been relying on exports for many years to Eastern Europe, but also to the German language space.
