FERC intends to improve the rules for smalled power plants

Having in view that the projects which have a 20MWh power or less are under the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), new proposals regarding changes in order to improve the rules has been made.

The most important change will allow solar projects to meet faster the requirements for the interconnection process to the national grid. Smaller sized projects in the solar power energy sector is the fastest growing segment in the industry and is very important to have reglementations that will make easier to be connected to the national grid but keeping in the same time the system reliability and safety.
