The Clariant Swiss Group has received all the approvals of the authorities for the construction of a bioethanol plant in the town of Podari near the city of Craiova in the south-western area of Romania.
This is estimated to enter production in 2020 and will be the fourth of the group.
It will use sunliquid technology and will have a capacity of approximately 50,000 tonnes of cellulose ethanol per year. The investment is 140 million euros of which the European funds constitute 40 million.
